Pirates and the unforeseen truth

BlackbeardPirates are more than meets the eye.  As you know pirates weren't always portrayed the way we see them know. There a tons of myths and Hollywood film makers that make us believe untrue facts about them. However pirates have been around for along time and there lots of things we don't know about them. On thing for sure the pirates not everything we see in movies about pirates are wrong. In order to distinguish the myths from facts we have to dive in to there history.


They started off as buccaneers people who attached any ship that had treasure. However buccaneers soon become extinct and a new era began  This era came to be during 1680 the time it was called the golden age of piracy began. Piracy see is know as attacking and robbing ships as buccaneers attached mostly Spanish ports This began due to the lack of jobs and naval employment. During this time it one of the main reasons piracy was easy was due to lack of strong governments around the Caribbean.

During this time some of the biggest names such as Blackbeard came to be. Blackbeard is one of the famous pirates that we still talk even after 300 years. During time he as know for killing numerous people and plundering many ships. However even though Blackbeard was famous there were people tried to suppress piracy.

One well know person was Woodes Rogers who succeed in aiding the end of piracy. He and his followers brought order to the Bahamas and the Caribbeans. During the this time lots of pirates were hung and some even tried there luck in the Atlantic ocean. Around the time 1730 the golden age of privacy was coming to an end. This was cause by the international anti-piracy laws and increased military.  Even though these laws are passed pirates can still be seen today.

We all want to believe pirates are just like there portrayed in in movies However that's not true pirates don't walk the plank, wear eye glasses or even go around with parrots on there shoulder. Most of these things we portray pirates to be can be commonly seen in Pirates Of The Caribbean. For instance pirates never had fun watching there prisoners walk across the plank.  They treated them extremely unfairly and pretty much almost always killed them instantly. As humans we always want to believe something is true but we have to remember movies are just a myth and pirates are not as some people make them out to be.

About Henry Morgan Henry Morgan, even through death, is known as one of the most devastating pirates of the 17th Century.
